THE SUBMILLIMETRE REVOLUTION: Celebrating the legacy of SCUBA and looking forward to the potential of SCUBA-2

Royal Observatory Edinburgh on October 9–11 2006.

Registration

There is no registration fee for the workshop, and coffee/tea and lunch will be provided on all three days.

Attendance at the workshop will be limited to around 70 people. Please register your interest in attending by contacting the LOC via Adeline Nicol at adn@roe.ac.uk, as soon as possible. Please also indicate your preferred accommodation (see below) and whether you would like to attend the workshop dinner (also see below).

We are looking into the possibility of publishing the proceedings as a record of the development of the submillimetre revolution in the UK. More details to follow.

Block bookings have been made at a number of hotels and special rates negotiated for attendees at the workshop. As soon as you are able to, please contact Adeline Nicol at adn@roe.ac.uk with the dates that you require accommodation and stating your preference for one of the following hotels.

Workshop dinner

The workshop dinner will be held at the Scottish Whisky Heritage Centre on Tuesday 10th October. This spectacular setting is just down from Edinburgh Castle and dinner will be preceded by an informal whisky tasting. Indeed, whisky will play somewhat of a dominant theme throughout the dinner! The cost of the meal, which includes the whisky tasting and wine, is £20 (subsidised). Please indicate when registering if you would like the vegetarian option for dinner.
