Moreover, requirements T4, T8, D7 and D17 imply more enhanced functionality than is catered for in basic SQL. In general, preliminary WSA `use cases' imply interaction with and manipulation of data from queries with a typical science use case sometimes requiring an iterative series of basic queries to achieve its goal. Software is required for remote client GUIs; web service software is required for communication between remote host and database server.
