On the Roques de los Muchachos, La Palma in August 2011 with the TNG telescope behind me. There was a telescope directors meeting the next day.
2011 was a year I seemed to spend lot of time in Holland. Here I am with a bunch of bikes in Amsterdam.
A week later I was back, this photo taken in the Damrack, between the main railway station and Dam sqaure.

Paris again, near the Gare de l'Est, in June 2011, John organised a meeting of National Telescope Time Allocation Committeee chairs. From here he went to .....
..Brussels for a meeting with the EU. The meeting didn't start until lunchtime so we popped into the (can you guess), air museum. Ironically we were asked to leave after an hour since they were preparing for a large drinks reception for an EU event.
Paris yet again, in May 2011. Our flight was cancelled due to another ash cloud scare and we spent an extra night in the city
