EROs – Extremely Red Objects – the reason for the extreme redness of these galaxies are that are seen at early stage of their formation where they are still enshrouded in a lot of dust – like star being born in nebula. This dust absorbs the light the stars and re-emits it a red wavelength.
EBOs – Extremely Blue Objects – are young galaxies undergoing massive star birth.
