For the past couple of years, the Faculty of Science and Engineering has been developing a major new programme of transferable skills training for postgraduates, reflecting the growing importance of these skills both for successful completion of a PhD and for future career prospects. Courses include such things as Effective Presentations, Scientific Paper Production, Tutoring and Demonstrating, Team Development etc. as well as a number of computing courses.
