Notes:

The BK79 model is very successful in explaining individual radio emission spectra from GRS 1915+105. This microquasar spends most of its time in a plateau state which in radio images is characterised by a persistent nuclear jet, which has a flat radio spectrum. Regularly GRS 1915+105 though will go into a flare state, where radio images reveal plasma blobs being ejected from the nuclear jet. These blobs show a typical optically thin synchrotron spectrum, and the nuclear jet during these flares still produces a flat spectrum.
