My
research focuses on the theory, methodology, and analysis of probes of
the large-scale structure of the Universe, in particular weak
gravitational lensing. My interests range from the understanding and
control of galaxy intrinsic alignments to the fundamentals of
cosmological data analysis and statistical inference.
I have been involved in the first fully tomographic cosmic shear
analysis using the Hubble Space
Telescope COSMOS Survey, and led an investigation into intrinsic
alignments in large galaxy samples of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey. Moreover I
am a member of the Euclid
Consortium, a planned ESA satellite to measure cosmic shear and galaxy
clustering over the full extra-galactic sky. I have also coordinated
the Holigrail
observational cosmology project at AIfA for three years.
