UK Near Earth Object Information Centre

The Visitor Centre is the Scottish arm of the UK Near Earth Object Information Centre. Near Earth Objects (NEOs) are better known as comets and asteroids. The UK NEO Information Centre aims to inform the public about the science of, and risks from, these objects. We run comet-making and meteorite-handling activities as part of our programmes for schools and the general public. We also field enquiries from the media and public about NEOs.

The Royal Observatory Edinburgh comprises the UK Astronomy Technology Centre of the Science and Technology Facilities Council, the Institute for Astronomy of the University of Edinburgh and the ROE Visitor Centre.
