Opportunities for group visits

Programmes for teachers and schools

Due to essential repairs on the Victorian telescope domes, we are unable to accommodate group visits to the Visitor Centre at present. However, we are still running our Winter Talks programme and, for school groups we have an outreach programme.

Dark Sky Scotland

Scotland has some of the best Dark Skies in Western Europe. To celebrate this, Dark Skies Scotland ran a series of highly successful events all over Scotland, which finished in March. The Royal Observatory Edinburgh comprises the UK Astronomy Technology Centre of the Science and Technology Facilities Council, the Institute for Astronomy of the University of Edinburgh and the ROE Visitor Centre.
