Continuing Professional Development for Teachers

We have four CPD programmes:

• 5-14 Earth in Space
• Introduction to the Faulkes Telescope.
• Things are looking up! workshop on observing the night sky.
• South East Earth & Space (SEES) workshops, part of Improving Science Education 5-14.

CPD for 5-14 science must be motivating and practical.

Workshops take place both at the Observatory and at other venues throughout Scotland eg for local authorities or science centres. See list our list of CPD events below.

• Careers Scotland, three day placements on a range of projects.
• Royal Society of Edinburgh, full-time or vacation fellowships on the Faulkes Telescopes Project.
