In the summer of 2006, Orland, Florida hosted the international SPIE symposium on Astronomical Telescopes and Instrumentation - the largest gathering of its kind in the observable universe.
The UK ATC's own Colin Cunningham was a Symposium Chair at this event.
A number of papers were presented on the VISTA Project.
