This webcam overlooks the site of the new buildings being constructed on the site of the ROE. There are two new buildings being built. The first of these will replace the recently demolished West Wing with an architecturally superior, purpose-built laboratory and offices. The second building will replace several smaller buildings to give additional office and meeting space. The proposed buildings have been designed to provide the necessary accommodation as efficiently as possible, and to minimise the impact on views of the Royal Observatory as shown in the artist's impression below.
