This manual is a document which describes the procedures for setting up, testing and evaluating the SuperCOSMOS facility in order to ensure optimum machine performance. It is, therefore, a technical description of the system, and is aimed as an aid to engineering aspects. It is not normally suited for the casual user of SuperCOSMOS data, although it may be of use to the more specialised who may wish to gain some insight into the details of the machine hardware. It is a rather lengthy and detailed document (80 pages), so care should be taken when printing.
